Our Team

Our team are the key to the success of EVES - Without them the animals are not expertly treated and the facilities provided by the modern hospital are wasted. Plus who would cuddle and chat to the patients! When we are open they are always available for some helpful advice if you are worried about your pet's health.

Jennifer Reekie

Jennifer Reekie BVMS MRCVS - Lead Veterinary Surgeon

Jennifer graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2000. After a year in mixed practice in the Highlands of Scotland she decided to focus on Small animals. Since then she has worked in the UK and New Zealand with a period spent in an Emergency clinic in Portsmouth. Jennifer enjoys medicine and surgery and getting animals back to full health.

She is currently studying towards her certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice. Moving to Devon allows Jennifer to spend time on the water windsurfing or stand up paddle-boarding when she is not looking after her young boy and walking Sparky her Springer.

Jack Pearse

Jack Pearse MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

Jack graduated from Edinburgh Vet School in 2013 and worked in small animal practice in Somerset before joining the Eves team in April 2016.

At home he has a French cat called Sebastian and two fresh water turtles.

Outside of work he enjoys paragliding, kayaking and fishing and fixing anything old and broken.

Anna Dalby

Anna Dalby - Veterinary Nurse

Anna qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1999 and has worked in a variety of practices in the south west ever since. Her nursing career initially found her working in both mixed and equine practices but she has spent the past few years concentrating her skills on nursing small animals.

She's a local girl and has lived and worked in the county all of her life but that' not to say that she hasn't also done her fair share of travelling and Anna has visited China, New Zealand and Australia.

Robyn Vardey

Robyn Vardey - Registered Veterinary Nurse

Originally from Yorkshire I moved to Cornwall 5 years ago to surf and ended up nursing. Before this I travelled around Europe and worked in a lot of surf shops.

I have 2 very energetic springer cross rescue dogs called Millie and Mylo, 2 young and naughty cats Klaus and Rodger and a bearded dragon called Figment. I have a keen interest in reptiles and plan to get more eventually.

Becky

Becky Dawson RVN

Originally from Somerset I’ve mainly lived in the Southwest. I started my working life as a post woman and a pharmacy dispenser.

I qualified as a Vet Nurse from Dorchester in 2000 and have worked mainly in small animal practice, wildlife rescue charities and emergency clinics since then.

I have rescued 14 animals, too many to name and I have to work to keep them all.
